This painting I did some time ago when we went for a trip down to Dunsborough. The bay was just beautiful with this amazing bright aqua strip running the length of the bay, close to the horizon line. The lady in the painting and the two kids was the family we stayed with whilst down there.
These photos I took of my sister and her son still make me laugh. JJ was the perfect little model that day, and the photo of him looking up at his mum I was so happy, and lucky to capture.
I've decided to post this illustration of mine today, which was a piece I did for West Weekend magazine. Its a great feeling when you feel on top of the world. Please be assured I dont always feel like this!
These star signs are from my archive. I did them some time ago for the for the astrological year ahead in the West Australian. I think all up I did about 8 sets of different starsigns over the years at The West, and each year I would have to rack my brain on how I would make them different!
After spending close to nearly two years in the back shed, my old friend the easel was dusted off and moved back into the house so I can start painting once again. After a recent family break in Rotto, those beautiful aquas, blues and white sand have inspired me to remember it on canvas once again. I maybe a little bit biased but no country can top the beauty of Australian beaches!
