Brevity

These custom made calligraphy necklaces by Brevity are next on my wish list! The pendant is hand lettered by Crystal Kluge and is made from stainless steel. It hangs at the nape of the neck on a 15inch sterling silver chain, or in 24k gold if that's more your thing. I'm thinking it would look mighty nice with a summer frock.

Dior Couture

Christian Dior said that his clothes had to be as beautiful on the outside as the inside, and these stunning gowns from the Dior V111 Grand Ball haute couture is no exception. Exquisite fabrics artfully stitched are enough to make any girls heart flutter...

Home Sweet Home

Needing a little tray to keep my perfumes altogether, I searched the web and came across this one at An Angel At My Table. It was the perfect size to fit on our bedroom mantelpiece, and holds the perfumes in nice and snug. An Angel At My Table has a beautiful collection of unusual and quirky products, which are definitely worth a look if your wanting something just that little bit different.

Enchanted Doll

Marina Bychkova is the artist who created these compelling and life-like porcelain dolls. Frustrated with mass produced dolls she decided to create her own, including their clothes. The detail is just mind blowing! These are just two examples of her work.

You Wish } Linneys 2012 Collection

Linneys 2012 collection is said to be inspired by music including rock, pop, jazz and classical, with the idea that the wearer connects to the piece in the same way they would connect with a song. I'm loving these pearls enclosed within their diamond cages.

Call Me Cupcake Blogspot

Call Me Cupcake is an amazingly beautiful blog run by Linda Lomelino and is my all time favourite food blog. The styling and photography is absolutely stunning and leaves you with your chin to your knees! She's put together a book called Lomelino's Tartor with the only problem being that it's written all in swedish. Hopefully it wont be to long before they put out an english version. I've included the link to her blog below aswell as the recipe for this delectable looking cake.

Swiss Meringue Frosting
Makes enough to frost a 15cm or 20cm cake. Add 225gms
of butter to make Swiss meringue buttercream.

5 large egg whites
200gms sugar
1tsp vanilla extract

Put egg whites and sugar in a heat-proof bowl in a double
boiler. The water in the saucepan should be simmering. Whisk
with a hand whisk continously until the mixture reaches 65
degrees C. Remove from heat. Start whipping the egg whites
with a stand or hand mixer until they become fluffy and white
and the bowl is cool, this can take about 10 minutes.

Vanilla Cake
Makes five 15cm, or four 20cm layers.
This recipe is adapted from Sweetapolita.

1/2 cup (113gms) butter
2 cups white sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
1 ttsp salt
3tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups ice water
1 tsp vanilla
4 egg whites beaten stiff

Add sugar to the butter and beat until light. Sift dry
ingredients and add alternately with ice water and flavourings,
beating thoroughly after each addition. Fold in the beaten
egg whites. Pour into greased layer pans and bake at 350
degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 30 minutes.

Down To The Woods

Now I don't usually go for bright multicoloured decor, but I found it pretty hard to resist these freckle prouducts from Down To The Woods. They're super soft, practical, and handmade in Nepal. The rugs come in two sizes: 58cm and 140cm, and would look gorgeous in any nursery or play area for the kids. The freckle garland is a quirky little string of soft balls and would brighten up any room draped across a bookcase, window or bed. Find out more with this link
