Australia Day 2013

Dressed in our Australia Day get up and plastering ourselves in temporary tattoos we thought ourselves suitable to see the fireworks over our beautiful Swan River. A great night with an amazing passion fruit tart made by my sister and Verve bubbly to wash it down!

Thena The Flower Fairy

For Christmas Mia was given a little craft set to make your very own wooden bead flower Fairy. Today we thought we would have a crack at making one, and this is the result. She was a little fiddly to make, and I dropped her head a few times trying to draw her face on, but we got there eventually! Mia has decided to call her Thena, and she's now sitting, or rather standing, stuck with bluetack to her bedside table.

These beautiful illustrations is the work of Alexandre day, a French painter and illustrator. His medium of choice is simply graphite and gum, and he uses them to great effect. His work has a moody and atmospheric feel to it which makes them so compelling to look at. Would love to have one on my wall!

Cooling Off

Its been so hot and humid here the last couple of weeks, and keeping the kids amused in the holidays when its too hot outside to play has been a bit of a challenge! This photo I took of Mia when she came out of the paddle pool Grandma had set up for the kids.

Prada Baroque Sunglasses

I bought theses Prada Baroque sunglasses at the start of summer and absolutely love how comfy they are to wear. My husband wasn't quite convinced he liked them all that much in the start, but I think he's  used to seeing me in them now and thinks they're quite cool. These ones are the slightly grey toned ones although they look more black in this photo. They go everywhere with me!

I should change this section to "I wish I could own it!". Tried this watch on the other day just for the hell of it and after having serious heart palpitations thought it was best to hand it back to the sales assistant. Its by Tag Heuer and from the Formula One series of watches. Love, love love

Mia's new dress

Geez its been a while since I've posted anything. Sorry about that. I've been meaning to post these photos for quite some time but do you think I could get around to doing it?!! Anyway The white dress Mia is wearing is from Tea Princess and Ive been wanting to get it for her since she was a baby, I love it that much! As kids grow out of clothes so quickly I thought I would take a few shots to remember it by. These were taken in our backyard. Oh and her headband is from Tea Princess too!
