Cosy quilt

For Mia's second birthday mum and I designed a quilt for when she made the transition from cot to bed.   Mum spent many hours hand stitching all the beautiful quilted flowers between the blocks, something she said she would never do again! The little bird mum stitched onto the back is a little momento for Mia when she's older.

Photo Wall

This photo wall I've been adding to slowing over the months. But Im now starting to run out of room! To keep the look unified I've used only black and white photos within white frames, and only the shape and style of the frames are different. They're holding up with removable 3M sticky tabs, and Ive only had one frame fall off so far (and I think that's because the wall is a bit uneven in some areas). Im wishing I had one of those massive hallways as I still have so many more I could put up!

Vintage Illustrations

These illustrations I created when working for West Australian Newspaper. It was for a spread on mothers day, and was to help give readers ideas on things to buy for their mum. I loved doing these ones, and put the ladies together using lots of different arms, legs, dresses and furniture.

Jewellery Holder

Okay now I do realise that this could look slightly dodgey, but I needed a quick fix option! Tired of spending vast amounts of time trying to untangle my earrings from my necklaces, I thought a coat hanger would be the perfect solution. I just stuck it up there with those hooks with the sticky back that can be pulled off again. The hook of the coathanger I used to hang my necklaces. No more tangles! It cost me nothing so that's always a bonus!

Overnight Bag

Over  New Years we stayed over at my mother in laws, and when I came to packing a few clothes I realised all that I had was a plastic bag! Deciding this would never do I got to searching on the net and found this little gem. Its called the "Holding pattern overnight bag" and is filled with lots of quirky details like measuring tape bows, wooden buttons, and a cross stitched alphabet running along the bottom. The little pocket on the side opens up and so does the the arched pattern that has the sissors snipping down the outside. Very handy for popping in things like keys and sunnies. Inside is all a beautiful aqua colour. This is the link I bought it from. http://www.modcloth.com/shop/bigbags/holding-pattern-overnight-bag
